Natural Behaviour education
Bring Thick & Tight’s award-winning dance-theatre into your classroom
Thick & Tight are an award-winning dance-theatre company, known for creating work that is a mix of dance, mime, theatre and drag, taking influence from a wide range of historical, political, literary and artistic subjects.
Our latest production, Natural Behaviour offers students a unique introduction to contemporary dance-theatre, combining choreography, character work, mime, lip-sync and satire to encourage creative risk-taking and interdisciplinary performance-making.
Natural Behaviour won a UK Theatre Award, received a National Dance Award nomination and was named the No.1 dance show of 2025 by The Guardian.
“Deft, funny and utterly absorbing, a ravishing selection of short dance pieces that make their points about queerness and inclusivity with wit, passion and power. It’s fabulous.”
- The Observer
Three ways to get involved
Alongside the show, we have developed a Digital Creative Toolkit and a Workshop for schools and youth groups. These are tailored to meet GCSE, BTEC and A Level dance specifications with a focus on choreographic approaches to a variety of stimuli.
1. Watch the show
Bring your students to see Natural Behaviour during our autumn 2026 national tour. We are pleased to offer discounted tickets for schools and student groups.

Explore dance-theatre techniques used in the production, including mime, lip-sync, satire and character work
Develop skills around using different stimuli to create choreography
Gain insight into the creative process behind an award-winning production
